Welcome to the
Manchester Woman's Club

Our mission: The Club provides opportunities for its members to engage their ethical,
social, and intellectual interests to enrich their lives and serve the community.

The Manchester Woman's Club was organized in 1908 by women who wished to promote good work in the community. Our continued mission is to provide opportunities for its members to engage their ethical, social, and intellectual interests to enrich their lives and serve the community.

In 1910 the Executive Board voted to employ a district nurse. The following year the nursing service became affiliated with the National Red Cross. In the wake of the great influenza epidemic of 1918, the nursing service was deemed an asset to the community. In 1979 the Manchester Nursing Service became the Visiting Nurse Association. Today it is named the VNA Care Network and Hospice.

Our Club is best known for the Friendship Tree on the Town Green. We acquired the Norway Spruce in 1965 and have illuminated the tree every holiday season since.

2026 Annual Meeting and Luncheon

The Club's annual meeting and luncheon was held on May 19 at the Heath Tea Room in Rockport. The annual  meeting marks the end of one year and the beginning of another with the election of officers.

Congratulations to the newly elected Board. It is obvious by the pictures that everyone enjoyed being with good friends, having a very tasty lunch and passing the gavel. Happy New Year!

On behalf of the Manchester Woman’s Club, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude for your incredible support of our recent April Shower of Prizes fundraiser.

Whether you donated prizes, participated in the festivities, or helped spread the word, your generosity ensures that we can continue our vital work within this beautiful town. It is the collective spirit of our neighbors and the dedication of our members that make these events not only successful but truly meaningful.

Thank you for your continuing support and for being a part of our long-standing history of service. We look forward to many more years of growing and giving together.
